Story
I am thinking Dry July is for pansies.
The real deal is 40 days coinciding with Lent and Lutt's is up for the challenge!!!
Here's my pledge - I will go 40 days without touching alcohol. No beer O'Clock, no red wine with the evening meal, no duty free anything ... yep it will be a test. But it will be good for me in terms of my health - physically and spiritually.
The money I save by forgoing this item from my daily lifestyle I will donate to the Relief and Development work of UnitingWorld. This will play a part in enabling others to live a life of dignity with clean water, nutritious food, elementary education, viable employment and essential healthcare.
If you can come in behind me and throw in the equal of a few rounds we may well contribute a serious amount of cash - almost the equivalent of a bottle of Bollinger or a real nice bottle of red...or two.
And heck I will be all the more encouraged!!
